ANNOUNCEMENT
The AllStars Academy teams up with Sumo Energy

Sumo Energy is excited to announce a new strategic partnership with The AllStars Academy to support grassroots sports and families within local communities to develop the next generation of players.
The AllStars Academy is a national children’s organisation that primarily runs after-school, weekend, and school holiday programs at over 300 schools across Australia. Their programs are mainly delivered via their Sport Star Academy division and include sports such as Football (Soccer), Cricket, Basketball, AFL, Rugby, Badminton and more.
As part of the partnership, Sumo Energy will empower Australian children by launching the Annual Sumo Energy Sport Star “As Local As” Grants Program. This program will provide free scholarships for boys and girls to take part in Sport Star Academy programs in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
Sumo Energy will also provide cost saving energy solutions to families and communities across the eastern seaboard where TAA members will gain exclusive access to energy discounts and tailored offers as part of their annual registration, ensuring that families can allocate more resources towards keeping fit, training and having fun.
This partnership comes off the back of Sumo revitalizing its identity, focusing on its locally owned and operated ethos and embracing a purpose-driven approach to better serve Australians. This evolution is symbolised in their new brandmark, featuring a bold, sun-inspired “O,” reflecting both swagger and sincerity in their Australian roots.
Alex Selles, Head of Marketing at Sumo Energy, shared excitement about the partnership, saying “We’re proud to team up with The AllStars Academy to make a positive impact on grassroots sports. This partnership aligns with our values of community support. By offering energy solutions that help sporting families save money, we’re allowing families to be able to allocate more resources to developing young players on and off the sporting field.”
Anthony Grima, Chief Operating Officer of The AllStars Academy, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating “At The AllStars Academy, we believe in setting children up for success, today, tomorrow and in the future. We are always looking for ways to add value to our players, families and partners and to provide genuine tangible benefits for the communities we serve and ensure all our players have a pathway to thrive. We are delighted Sumo Energy can walk this path with us.
