The QLD Government offers a variety of rebates to assist with payment of energy bills. Holders of a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or DVA Gold Card, ImmiCard or Seniors Card may be eligible. Please see the individual rebate information below on how to apply. Electricity Only Rebate
The Electricity Rebate is an annual rebate applied to electricity bills.
To be eligible, you must be the electricity account holder and hold a Pensioner Concession Card, Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card, Queensland Seniors Card, Commonwealth Health Care Card or ImmiCard.

Electricity Life Support Concession

To apply, complete the Electricity Life Support Concession application form, which will be sent to you within 14 working days of receiving your machine.
If you do have life support equipment, let us know by calling us on 03 9102 8400 and we will send you the forms to document that which need to be signed by your medical practitioner. You should also develop an action plan for unpredictable power outages.
Medical Cooling and Heating Electricity Concession Scheme
People with a medical condition that makes it difficult to self-regulate their body temperature when exposed to extreme heat or cold may be entitled to this annual payment, paid quarterly.

Home Emergency Assistance Scheme
The Home Emergency Assistance Scheme helps low-income households pay an outstanding electricity bill when they face a short-term financial crisis or an unforeseen emergency.
Eligible customers may receive one-off payments to use towards electricity or natural gas accounts, once every 2 years.
To be eligible, you must hold an eligible concession card, meet an income test, and be part of our hardship program.

Household Utility Assistance Package
The Household Utility Assistance Package is available to all households. This includes homeowners, tenants, customers who receive an electricity bill from their landlord or body corporate, and customers in communities with card-operated meters.
Households receiving the Queensland Government’s Household Utility Package will see a one-off payment towards their energy bill.
