This Refer-A-Friend promotion is available to all existing Sumo energy customers (Existing Customer). If an Existing Customer:

•    shares their unique promo code with a potential new Sumo energy customer (New Customer); and

•    the Existing Customer has no overdue amounts on their Sumo account/s; and

•    the New Customer has not had an active account with Sumo for 6-months prior to sign-up and stays activated with Sumo on one of our generally available energy plans for a period of 30 days,

then, the New Customer and the Existing Customer will be entitled to the Promotion Benefits outlined below.

Existing Customers are entitled to refer up to a maximum of 5 New Customers during their lifetime as a Sumo energy customer (Referral Cap).

Promotion Benefits

If the above conditions are satisfied, then:

•    Existing Customers are entitled to receive a $50 credit applied to their Sumo energy account for each successful New Customer referral (up to the Referral Cap); and 

•    New Customers are entitled to receive a $50 credit on their first energy bill. 

General terms 

Existing Customers are entitled to receive up to a maximum of $250 credit (being $50 per successful New Customer referral, up to the Referral Cap), applied to their Sumo energy account. 

New Customers are only entitled to one bill credit.

Existing Customers and New Customer shall forfeit all Promotion Benefits if they cease to be a Sumo energy customer, including but not limited to if an energy account is in credit at the time of cancellation due to a Promotion Benefit. 

Sumo bills monthly for smart meters and quarterly for basic meters for electricity and bi-monthly in VIC and quarterly in NSW for gas.

Fraudulent actions taken to deceptively acquire this offer may be reported to authorities.

Promotion benefits may be withdrawn if payment fails at any stage. Promotion terms and conditions are subject to change and promotion may be withdrawn without notice.

Offer not available with any other promotion, and not transferable or redeemable for cash.

All other conditions of the Sumo Market Terms & Conditions and relevant Victorian Energy Fact Sheets / Basic Plan Information Documents apply to the customer’s agreement with Sumo.
