Solar Meter Exchange or Reconfiguration

 

VIC

If you do not have a smart meter installed at your property, please contact your distributor directly.

Powercor/United/Citipower

Paperwork EWR (Electritcal Works Request) and CES (Certificate of Electrical Safety) to the distributor via their network portal. Please see below:

  • Powercor & Citipower: https://myenergy.powercor.com.au
  • United: https://myenergy.ue.com.au/
  • Your distributor will then send a request to Sumo to raise the relevant service orders.
  • Please allow at least 20 business days for this request to complete.
  • Once the service orders are completed, you will start to receive solar on the following invoice.


Jemena/Ausnet

  • You must have a valid Sumo account.
  • You or your installer will need to send the solar paperwork to connections@sumo.com.au
  • The Paperwork includes: EWR (Electrical Works Request), CES (Certificate of Electrical Safety) and additionally (Jemena only) a Micro embedded generator form.
  • Once we have received the paperwork, Sumo will raise the relevant service orders.
  • Please allow at least 20 business days for this request to complete.
  • Once the service orders are completed, you will start to receive solar on the following invoice.
     

 

NSW

  • You or your installer will need to send the relevant paperwork to connections@sumo.com.au:
    Approval Letter from your distributor
    CCEW Form (Certificate Compliance Electrical Work)
  • Once we have received the paperwork, Sumo will raise the relevant service orders.
  • If you currently have a basic meter, we will raise a request for this to be exchanged for a smart meter. This exchange will be completed by a third-party company.
    They will contact you via mail or SMS to advise you when they will be coming to exchange the meter.
  • If you already have a smart meter, we will request for your meter to be reconfigured – This is done remotely and does not require any physical work to your meter.
  • Please allow at least 20 business days for this request to complete.

 

 

QLD

  • Your solar installer will submit any paperwork directly to Energex.
  • Energex will then send an EWR (Electrical Works Request) to Sumo.
  • Sumo will raise the relevant service orders.
  • If you currently have a basic meter, we will raise a request for this to be exchanged for a smart meter. This exchange will be completed by a third-party company.
    They will contact you via mail or SMS to advise you when they will be coming to exchange the meter.
  • If you already have a smart meter, we will request for your meter to be reconfigured - This is done remotely and does not require any physical work to your meter.
  • Please allow at least 20 business days for this request to complete.

    ECOC Form (Electronic Certificate of Compliance)

  • If you currently have a basic meter, we will raise a request for this to be exchanged for a smart meter. This exchange will be completed by a third-party company.
    They will contact you via mail or SMS to advise you when they will be coming to exchange the meter.
